Jamie Oliver - Cauliflower Cheese Pizza Pie

Cauliflower Cheese Pizza Pie (872 calories)
Recipe Book: Jamie Oliver Veg (the latest book)
Review: 3-4 Stars! We had such high hopes for this one. This one wasn't quite as straight forward as I though it was going to be... I think last week I just had too much stuff on the go all at once.
The husband wasn't over keen on this one, for him he said the pizza base reminded him of Yorkshire Puddings. For some reason my sauce seemed to go runnier not thicker (it was thick when it went into the base) after I put it in the oven so mine did not come out in nice neat slices, it sort of cut with a nice crispy cut and then ran out everywhere whilst I'm rapidly trying to get it onto a plate. Has this happened to anyone else or is it just me?
My opinion: as an entire dish that kind of fell apart - 3 stars - as separate parts - Cauliflower cheese...good....pizza base...good - 4 stars.

Aga conversion: I used my 28cm saute pan to make this. I mainly used the simmering plate for this and did the 30 minute simmering on the floor of the simmering oven.
Will I make this again? Probably not.

What more can I say?  Took 40 mins to make so not an overly quick recipe but wow what a taste! I used plain pork sausages from my local butchers (Pitts in Earby as he makes the best pork sausages 💕). I made a half portion (serves 3) on the sauce and have set aside the extra portion for freezing and only made a third of the pasta as I’m serving 2. Used 1 cayenne chilli and didn’t deseed as we like extra heat. So so tasty. This recipe does not disappoint. Will I make this again? I can safely say that I was not expecting to score this recipe so highly. I am a hardened meat eater and don't particularly like or eat a whole lot of veg but I decided to really give it a go, so all this weeks recipes are coming out of this book. It was very quick to make, literally the 20 minutes as it states in the book. I made a half portion to serve 2. Mistakenly bought regular salted pistachios and it was fine. I blended the peppers, onions, garlic and cheese in my Kenwood Chef mini chopper attachment as the amount was pretty small and it fit just nicely. If I was making a serves 4 I might have to rethink this idea. Once it was blended, to be honest it looked like creamy yellowness and I didn't honestly like the look of it but hey ho, lets give it a chance eh? Was it good? It certainly was, I was also quite sur
